Diabetes Amigo is a parent-run blog about raising kids with Type 1 Diabetes. This page explains how we make money from the site, what our content is (and is not), and what you should keep in mind when you use it.

Nothing on this website is medical advice. Diabetes Amigo shares first-hand parent experience – packing lists, device tips, school and travel notes, product opinions, and family stories. It is not a substitute for care from your child’s endocrinologist, diabetes educator, or other licensed professionals.
Every child with T1D is different. Insulin dosing, pump settings, CGM targets, sick-day plans, and school accommodations must come from your care team. Do not change treatment based only on something you read here. If your child is in distress or you have an urgent medical concern, seek emergency care or contact your care team right away.
